Trade Fair Operating Regulations

Trade Fair Operating Regulations for trade fairs and exhibitions held in the halls of Messe Luzern AG in Lucerne (referred to below as the «Trade Fair Management»).

1. Design of booths at trade fairs
1.1 Booth construction

The exhibitor is generally responsible for setting up and equipping booths. Sketches, plans or models must be submitted to the Trade Fair Management on request. Booth structures must be designed so that they do not require any fastenings to the hall walls, hall floor, pillars in the hall or the hall ceiling. It is forbidden to drill or pierce holes in hall floors and walls, etc.
Materials rented or made available by Messe Luzern AG shall remain the property of Messe Luzern AG and must be handled with care. The exhibitor undertakes to return such materials in their undamaged original condition. Costs of rectifying any damage shall be borne by the exhibitor.

1.2 Booth safety

Exhibition booths, their furnishings and exhibits as well as all advertising materials must be installed safely to ensure that there is no risk to public safety and order, and in particular to the lives and health of people. No unsecured loads may be raised above the heads of people. Force-locked connections from non-flammable materials must be used for all loads. Lighting supports connected to the booth must without exception be built with the same system materials used for the booth (e.g. SYMA girders and SYMA wall systems). Booths built outside must be designed to withstand the relevant wind and snow loads.
The exhibitor is responsible for the static safety of the stands and has to provide proof of safety if required. Messe Luzern reserves the right to inspect booths, exhibits, advertising materials, etc., for compliance with its rules on booth and traffic safety. Components that, under the applicable guidelines or in the opinion of the management of Messe Luzern, have not be installed in an expert and professional manner have to be adjusted or removed at the request of Messe Luzern. If this is not done in good time, Messe Luzern is authorized to make changes itself or, if required, to remove the booths at the cost of the exhibitor.

1.3 Floor coverings

Floor coverings must be installed with special adhesive strips that can be removed without leaving any residues. These may be purchased from the Trade Fair Office. Self-adhesive floor coverings are prohibited. The removal of adhesive strips that have not been removed or have only partially been removed shall be billed.

1.4 Standard height of booth equipment

The height of booth installations in the permanent halls must not exceed a maximum of 3 meters from the hall floor. In response to a written request, the Trade Fair Management may approve booth structures up to a maximum height of 5 meters.
The height of booth installations in the marquees must not exceed a maximum of 2.5 meters from the hall floor. In response to a written request, the Trade Fair Management may approve booth structures up to a maximum height of 3 meters.
There is no entitlement to compensation for location-related restrictions.

1.5 Special provisions for booth structures over 3 m high

In response to a written request from the exhibitor, the Trade Fair Management may issue exceptional authorizations for structures in the permanent halls that exceed the standard height of 3 meters from the hall floor as stipulated by the regulations. Structures above the standard height are generally approved only up to a maximum constructed height of 5 meters.
The permitted «graphic edge» (upper edge of signage elements such as company signs, logos, texts, etc.) is 4.5 meters.
Structures above 3 meters must be decorated or covered on all sides. The rear walls (higher than 2.5 meters) facing neighboring booths must be decorated in neutral white.
For structures such as signage elements/decorations affixed above the standard height of 3 meters, a flat-rate amount of CHF 500.00 per booth shall be charged.
Walk-on upper floors are only authorized by individual agreement. Costs are charged for walk-on areas on upper floors. For areas of upper floors that are utilized, a price per square meter is charged that is equivalent to half (50%) of the price of booth area at ground level.
Items of technical equipment used for suspension or lighting are not deemed to be part of the booth structures. Compliance with the provisions regarding «Suspension points» is required for equipment of this sort.

1.6 Suspension points

Suspension points are fixtures fastened to the hall structure for the purpose of hanging various items. The exhibitor is not permitted to fasten parts of the booth structure, auxiliary equipment such as lights and lamps, or decorations directly to the structure of the hall. So that the total of suspension points does not exceed the load-bearing capacity of the hall structure and to ensure compliance with the mandatory legal and actuarial requirements, suspension points must be ordered in their entirety from Messe Luzern AG and their installation shall be executed by a company with the relevant capabilities. Exceptions to the above provisions must be agreed with the Trade Fair Management.
The exhibitor is responsible for the proper use and/or correct fixture of structures to the suspension points provided. In case of incorrect execution, the Trade Fair Management is authorized to require the exhibitor to implement corrections. Messe Luzern AG declines liability for personal injuries and for loss of or damage to property resulting from faulty installation on the suspension points provided.

1.7 Booth design

Booth design must not detract from the overall impression of the trade fair. Poorly designed, dirty or untidy booths may be cleared away or closed by the Trade Fair Management if they are not adapted to the general level of the trade fair in response to the first request to do so. In such cases, no compensation is due to the exhibitor concerned. All booths must be fitted with rear and side walls.
Allocated open fronts may only be obstructed with the written authorization of the Trade Fair Management.
The Trade Fair Management shall not be liable to the exhibitor in respect of any consequences arising from the location or surroundings of the exhibitor's booth or from the neighbors' booth concepts.

1.8 Signage

A company address on the booth is mandatory. Untidy handwritten addresses are not permitted.

2. Setting up trade fair booths
2.1 Early setup

Compliance with the specified deadlines for setting up booths is mandatory. Work beyond the initial setup deadline is possible under special circumstances, but this must be agreed in writing with the Trade Fair Management. Any resultant additional costs incurred for the security service shall be billed to the exhibitor.
From the opening day onwards, no further changes may be made to the booth equipment.

2.2 Transport of goods during the trade fair

It is prohibited to transport goods into and out of the halls during opening hours. Incoming deliveries of goods must take place before the halls are opened or after they are closed to the public on each day.

2.3 Unoccupied booths

If an exhibitor has not occupied its booth by 12:00 noon on the day prior to the opening, the Trade Fair Management shall have the right of disposal over the said booth and the exhibitor cannot claim compensation of any kind in this case. Any services that may have been provided (technical connections or others) must be paid for by the exhibitor.

2.4 Night working and work on Sundays

Work on Sundays is not subject to mandatory authorization for trade fair operators and their staff engaged in the setup, dismantling and operation of booths and admission counters and in maintenance (Article 43, paragraph 2, Ordinance 2 to the Employment Act (EmpO 2)). In the case of trade fair operators and their staff, night working is not subject to mandatory authorization provided that such staff are employed to set up and dismantle event equipment and booths and to undertake maintenance (Article 43, paragraph 3, EmpO 2). No authorization is required for night working and work on Sundays in the case of employees employed in catering operations (Article 23, EmpO 2).

2.5 Notification obligation for exhibitors/staff from EU/EFTA countries

Work assignments totaling no more than 90 calendar days per company/person and calendar year are not subject to authorization in Switzerland, but are subject to mandatory notification.
For activities in the following sectors, notification is required eight days prior to the commencement of work, starting from the first day, regardless of the duration of such work:
– Main and secondary construction (booth construction, setup, equipment, repair, maintenance, etc.)
– Gardening and landscaping
– Hospitality
– Industrial and domestic cleaning services
– Surveillance and security services
– Itinerant trade
In all other sectors, the notification procedure pursuant to Article 6 of the Posted Workers Act (PWA, SR 823.20) is mandatory for companies/persons performing assignments in Switzerland on a total of more than 8 days per calendar year (continuous or cumulative number of days).
However, we also recommend you to give notification of such assignments as from the first day in order to avoid lack of clarity and queries in case of an inspection.

3. ACCESS
Incoming delivery and outbound transportation of trade fair goods

Incoming deliveries and outbound transportation of trade fair goods as far as the halls can only be effected by road.

4. Technical connections
Technical connections

Orders must be submitted by the specified deadlines. Private installations are prohibited. All connections must be accessible at all times. The exhibitor shall be liable for faults and loss or damage arising from a failure to comply with this provision.

4.1 Electricity

The halls are equipped with general hall lighting. The exhibitor is responsible for individual booth lighting.
The systems are subject to Swiss legislation (Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance (LVIO)) and the regulations issued by the Swiss Electrotechnical Association (SEV). Installations that do not comply with the regulations must not be connected to the systems of Messe Luzern AG.

4.2 Electrical connections

Exhibition installations are supplied with low voltage: 3 x 400 V/230 V 50 Hz. The connection value for 1 x 230 V connections must not exceed a maximum of 2.0 kW (10 A), and the value for 3 x 400 V is a maximum of 6.0 kW (10 A). Energy consumers up to and including 40 A must be connected via ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI). Electrical distribution panelboards must not be obstructed and must be accessible at all times.

4.3 Telefon, Internet

The telephone, internet and data transmission connections shall be set up by the installer holding the concession from the Trade Fair Management. The exhibitor shall be billed by the Trade Fair Management for costs of installation and rental of equipment. Subscription fees and call charges shall be billed directly by the network operator.
Until the equipment has been removed, the exhibitor shall be liable for all damage to the telephone system or the internet network due to the exhibitor's own fault or to the fault of third parties. The exhibitor is responsible for insuring the equipment against theft, fire and water damage. The exhibitor must pay for all calls made from its terminal until the equipment is dismantled.

4.4 Water connections

Water supply and drainage pipes from the mains network for the halls to the exhibitor's booth, and connections within the booth, must be executed by the installer engaged by the Trade Fair Management. For wastewater connections that cannot be connected directly to the mains network for the halls (of which the exhibitor will be notified), the exhibitor must provide a space measuring 0.5 m x 0.5 m for a wastewater pump. The exhibitor shall be billed by the Trade Fair Management for the costs of installation, including consumption of water.

4.5 Gas

No permanently installed natural gas connections are available. The use of liquid gas (butane, propane, etc.) in the permanent halls is prohibited by the Fire Authority (also see Article 11). The use and storage of liquid gas in marquees requires written consent from the Fire Authority of the City of Lucerne. An authorization for this purpose must be obtained directly by the exhibitor.

4.6 Compressed air

Compressed air must be obtained exclusively through Messe Luzern AG. A central compressed air network is available in halls 1 and 2. Mobile compressors are operated in halls 3 and 4. The installation of compressed air lines from the trade fair's pipe network to the exhibitor's booth, and the procurement and commissioning of mobile compressors, may only be undertaken by Messe Luzern AG. The Trade Fair Management reserves the right (e.g. in case of low demand for compressed air) to install the compressor for the compressed air supply in the booth or in the immediate vicinity thereof. Objections (e.g. due to noise pollution by the compressor) are excluded.

4.7 Odor emissions

Demonstration and tasting stands that cause an odor nuisance are not permitted.

5. Surveillance
5.1 General surveillance of halls

The Trade Fair Management organizes general surveillance of the halls before, during and after the trade fair. Surveillance commences when the setup time begins and is adapted to the specific conditions in the individual halls.

5.2 Exclusion of liability

General surveillance undertaken by the Trade Fair Management shall not restrict the exclusion in respect of all property loss or damage, personal injury, and theft.

6. Cleaning
6.1 General cleaning

General cleaning of aisles and stairs, etc., is organized by the Trade Fair Management.

6.2 Cleaning of booths

The exhibitor is responsible for daily cleaning of the booth. If areas outside of the exhibitor's own fair booth, or neighboring booths, are soiled during setup, e.g. due to drilling or milling work, the party causing such soiling is responsible for cleaning these zones. If cleaning has to be organized by the Trade Fair Management, the costs shall be billed to the exhibitor.

6.3 Waste disposal

The exhibitor is responsible for waste disposal. Exhibitors shall either take the waste back and dispose of it themselves, or the exhibitor shall order a waste container from Messe Luzern AG in return for a fee. The Trade Fair Management may also invoice mandatory flat-rate waste charges. Paper, cardboard and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) are not subject to mandatory charges. Exhibitors themselves must deal with exceptional quantities and the removal of oils, greases and chemicals, taking account of the relevant statutory regulations.

7. Domiciliary rights
Domiciliary rights

The Trade Fair Management shall exercise domiciliary rights on the entire trade fair site throughout the period of setup, the fair itself and during dismantling. Failure to comply with the instructions of the Trade Fair Management may result in exclusion from participation in the trade fair, in which case the parties concerned or third parties shall have no entitlement to reimbursement of the booth rental fee or to claim compensation, etc.

8. Booth staffing
Booth staffing

Exhibitors are obligated to ensure that the booth is continuously staffed during the opening hours of the trade fair and that the objects, goods and samples are displayed throughout the duration of the trade fair.

9. Operation of the trade fair
9.1 Advertising at booths, demonstrations

Equipment and presentations of all types that cause unreasonable disturbance to neighbors or visitors, including (in particular) use of the space in front of the booth, demonstrations and the distribution of samples or brochures outside the booth, and noise of any kind, etc., are not permitted. Film and video screenings, demonstrations and instruction sessions must not cause visual or acoustic disturbance to the neighbors, nor must such activities impede circulation in the aisle.

9.2 Distribution of advertising materials

In general, only advertising materials from companies admitted to the trade fair may be distributed. Brochures, samples and giveaways must only be distributed in the exhibitor's own booth. Distribution outside of the booth area is prohibited, as is the distribution of materials of any type in front of the halls and on public land. Distributed advertising materials must not cause contamination of the trade fair site, nor must they give rise to complaints of any kind. In these cases, the Trade Fair Management may prohibit the use of such advertising materials.

9.3 Direct sales, acceptance of orders

The acceptance of purchase orders and direct sales of goods do not require additional authorization, with the exception of those involving alcoholic beverages. The following rule applies in this regard:
– Wine/beer: direct sales are permitted only with the relevant authorization from the Hospitality/Trade Inspectorate of the Canton of Lucerne.
– Spirits: tasting and direct sales are permitted only with the relevant authorization from the Hospitality/Trade Inspectorate of the Canton of Lucerne.
Direct sales and the acceptance of purchase orders are permitted on Sundays and general public holidays during the trade fair.

9.4 Authorizations for restaurants, catering stands, tasting stands (alcoholic beverages)

The operation of a restaurant, catering stand and/or tasting stand (alcoholic beverages) requires authorization from the Hospitality/Trade Inspectorate of the Canton of Lucerne. As a general rule, all exhibitors are themselves responsible for being in possession of the relevant authorization. As a service for exhibitors, the Trade Fair Management notifies the Cantonal Office of the exhibitors known to it. The exhibitor obtains the authorization as well as the invoice directly from the Hospitality/Trade Inspectorate of the Canton of Lucerne.
Compliance with the provisions of the Cantonal Ordinance on Foodstuffs is also required.

9.5 Disclosure of prices

In connection with sales of goods of all types, the exhibitors must comply with the rules regarding fair competition (Federal Act on Unfair Competition (UCA) of 19 December 1986) and the Ordinance on Price Indication (PIO).
In case of sales of goods to end consumers, the goods must be marked with clearly legible indications of pricing in accordance with the obligation to disclose prices.

9.6 Competitions, free prize draws

It is only permitted to conduct competitions and prize draws of all types within the exhibitor's own booth, and this shall require the written consent of the Trade Fair Management.
The sale of raffle tickets or the holding of raffles and small games against payment is prohibited in accordance with the Bundesgesetz über Geldspiele (SR 935.51).

9.7 Poisonous substances

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Federal Toxic Substances Act, the dispensing of poisons in classes 1-5 (including class 5S) at open points of sale is explicitly prohibited. Direct sales of poisons of all classes at trade fairs is therefore explicitly prohibited in all cases.
The acceptance of purchase orders from the commercial and industrial sectors, agriculture and forestry, education and research is permitted subject to the provisos that the goods shall not be issued directly on acceptance of the order and that no direct/immediate payment shall be made. The offered goods must comply with the regulations stipulated in Swiss toxic substances legislation in all respects (registration/notification, identification marking). Permitted types of trade in products that contain poisons also require authorization from the Cantonal Poisons Inspectorate responsible for the exhibitor's domicile. The exhibitor itself must bear all the consequences of failure to comply with the statutory regulations.

9.8 Copyright

Based on international treaties in place and Swiss provisions regarding copyright law, SUISA (the Cooperative Society of Music Authors and Publishers in Switzerland) is authorized to make the invocation of copyrights referenced below subject to an authorization for which a fee must be paid:
«The provision of music in the trade fair halls and on the trade fair site, either by musicians and singers, radio, gramophone records or audio tapes, films with soundtracks (concerts, entertainment, fashion shows, films with soundtrack, diaporama (slide show with audio accompaniment), background music, etc.) must be registered with SUISA at least 10 days before the start of the trade fair.» This provision also applies to the mere use of radios or tape recorders at the booth. The Trade Fair Management shall not recognize any third-party claims that may be asserted due to failure to comply with SUISA regulations.

9.9 Special regulations

The Trade Fair Management is authorized to issue special regulations for individual trade fairs.

9.10 Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all halls.

9.11 Complaints

Notification of any complaints relating to occurrences during the trade fair must be given while the event is still in progress. No further claims can be asserted in case of subsequent notifications.

10.1 Safety measures

Neither visitors, exhibitors nor third parties may be placed at risk by demonstrations of machinery, equipment and tools that are advisable in the interests of promotional impact and animation of the trade fair.

10.2 Protective equipment

Objects may be exhibited only if they comply with the accident prevention regulations of the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund, Lucerne (Suva). If any aspects are unclear, the exhibitor concerned should promptly contact Suva.

10.3 Removal of exhibits

Exhibits that do not meet the accident prevention regulations must be immediately brought into compliance with the said regulations or must then be removed. If necessary, such removal shall be undertaken by the Trade Fair Management at the exhibitor's expense.

10.4 Exclusion of liability

The Trade Fair Management accepts no liability in respect of personal injury and property loss or damage occurring due to the setup/dismantling of a booth or of exhibition goods. It is mandatory for all exhibitors to take out liability insurance.

11. Measures by the Fire Authority
11.1 Obligation to notify welding and work involving the use of an open flame

In case of welding, cutting, soldering, heating, burning off paint, thawing/defrosting and similar activities, the exhibitor or its authorized representative must inform the municipal Fire Authority and the technical service of the Trade Fair Management prior to the start of the trade fair.

11.2 Fire protection at events

For the design of the booths, decorations and superstructures, use must only be made of flame-resistant materials that do not drip under the influence of heat or fire (materials in Swiss fire resistance class RF2). Straw, hay, paper pieces/chips, reeds/cane, pine twigs/branches, plastic films and similar materials must not be used for decorations. Decorations made of solid wood (e.g. planks or boards sawn on all sides, thickness >10 mm) are permitted, as are wood chips as a top layer to keep natural floors clean, provided they are kept permanently damp. Together with the Fire Authority, the Trade Fair Management is authorized at all times to arrange for the removal of noncompliant materials or to remove such materials itself if necessary. Advertising, toy and entertainment balloons filled with hydrogen or other gases that constitute a fire hazard must not be brought into, inflated, distributed or sold in the trade fair halls or the trade fair site. Balloons must only be filled with non-combustible gases (e.g. balloon gas, helium, air).
Pursuant to the instructions of the Cantonal Buildings Insurance Authority and the Fire Authority of the City of Lucerne, the following points require particular attention:
– The safety of persons must not be jeopardized by affixing decorations.
– Decorations must not impair the visibility of identification markings for escape routes and exits (rescue/escape signs).
– Fire detection and extinguishing equipment (such as manually operated pushbutton alarms, fire detectors, handheld fire extinguishers, fire-hose cabinets and sprinklers) must neither be covered by decorations, nor must their efficacy and accessibility be impaired by decorations.
– Decorations must be affixed so that they cannot be ignited by thermal radiation from lamps, heating equipment, motors or engines and similar items, and so that no hazardous accumulation of heat can occur on them.
– Materials that release toxic gases in the event of a fire, or those which drip when hot or burning, are not permitted.
– Foamed plastics (such as polystyrene and polyurethane foams) must not be readily combustible. They are only permitted in restricted quantities and only for smaller decorations, but not for wall and ceiling coverings or room partitions.
– Unsupervised burning candles are not permitted, and candles must be placed on a fire-resistant base or surface.
– The operation of (bio-)ethanol stoves is prohibited in the permanent halls and the marquees (pursuant to no. 4.1. of the Fire Protection Guideline "Fire Prevention and Safety on Operational Premises and Construction Sites"). It is permitted to operate (bio-)ethanol stoves in the open air. Authorization for this purpose must be obtained from the Fire Authority of the City of Lucerne by the exhibitor directly.
– Decorations are inspected by the Fire Authority. Decorations must be notified promptly for acceptance.

11.3 Storage and use

The storage, safekeeping and use of substances that constitute a fire hazard, explosive and readily combustible substances such as petrol, benzene, acetone, kerosene, spirits and heating oil are prohibited inside the trade fair halls. Oil-soiled cleaning cloths must be disposed of in sealed metal plate containers and must be removed from the trade fair halls every evening.

11.4 Heating and combustion appliances

Cookers as well as heating and combustion appliances of all types must comply with the statutory regulations. Cooking and heating plates as well as hotplates, etc., must be correctly installed and placed on fireproof bases or surfaces. Open fires are not permitted.
Butane or propane gas combustion appliances
The use of butane and/or propane gas can only be authorized by the Fire Authority.

11.5 Fire detection and extinguishing equipment

Fire detectors and alarms, wall-mounted hydrants, handheld fire extinguishers and sprinklers, as well as similar equipment, must not be wholly or partially obstructed or relocated with or due to decorations, walls or exhibits. They must be clearly identified and visible, and it must be possible to operate them without obstructions.

11.6 Aisles, stairs, entrances - keeping exits clear

Aisles, stairs, vehicular entrances – exits to be kept clear Emergency exits, stairs, landings, aisles, passageways and doors, etc., must always be kept clear and must not be obstructed by exhibits, advertising stands, tables, chairs or other objects. The entire width and height of all vehicular entrances and emergency exits must be kept clear, both indoors and outside. The Fire Authority is able to enforce these regulations with all due vigor.
Due to Fire Authority requirements, exhibitors are not permitted to park cars and trucks, etc., around the fair halls (except in the marked parking spaces allocated by the Trade Fair Management) or near the vehicular accesses to the halls. Vehicular access to all halls by fire brigade vehicles must beguaranteed at all times.

12. Insurance
Insurance

The Trade Fair Management shall take out liability insurance in respect of third-party claims (visitors, etc.). This insurance does not cover the personal liability of the exhibitors and their staff.

12.1 Fire insurance, explosion insurance and insurance against damage by natural forces

The Trade Fair Management does not insure against loss of or damage to exhibition goods and equipment due to fire, theft, robbery, water and damage of all types. The Trade Fair Management therefore assumes no liability for such occurrences.

12.2 Liability insurance

Every exhibitor shall be held liable for any loss or damage caused for whatever reason by itself, or by third parties engaged by it, to the property of the trade fair or to the life and property of third parties. Exhibitors must take out special liability insurance for their participation in the trade fair or, as appropriate, must review their general commercial liability insurance and arrange for it to be extended to cover the risks of participation in the trade fair insofar as necessary. The Trade Fair Management may require the exhibitor to provide proof of appropriate coverage.
The Trade Fair Management has taken out liability insurance in respect of its statutory liability. However, it assumes no duty of proper care in respect of trade fair goods and booth equipment, etc., and excludes all liability for loss, damage and misplacement.

12.3 Transport, exhibition, theft and luggage insurance

The Trade Fair Management and its staff shall not be liable for the exhibitor's goods either during the period when such goods are located on the trade fair site or while they are being transported to and from the site. For this reason, exhibitors are also recommended to take out appropriate insurance.
If goods are handed over to Messe Luzern for loading or unloading vehicles, for shunting work or for transport to a temporary storage facility, these goods are insured up to a maximum of CHF 25000. For further claims in the event of damage, the exhibitor is obliged to take out separate transport insurance.

13. Dismantling and removal of booths
13.1 Dismantling booths after the end of the trade fair

The exhibitor shall be responsible for dismantling and removing the booths. Dismantling and removal on the closing day must not commence before the trade fair closes and may only begin once the aisle carpet has been removed. Special instructions are in place for vehicular accesses to and exits from the halls.

13.2 Period allowed for dismantling of booths

Dismantling of the booth must be completed within the period of the trade fair stipulated by the Trade Fair Management. After this point in time, the Trade Fair Management has the right to arrange for work to be undertaken at the exhibitor's expense without prior warning. If individual halls are required for other events prior to this final deadline for dismantling and removal, the Trade Fair Management may, prior to the closure of the trade fair, notify the exhibitor of this circumstance by means of a circular letter and may require dismantling and removal to be completed more quickly.
The Trade Fair Management is authorized to retain exhibition goods until all the exhibitor's obligations towards the trade fair have been met.

14. General
14.1 Actions to be taken by the Trade Fair Management

The Trade Fair Management is authorized to take actions to ensure orderly trade fair operation. In cases where a written warning with a stipulated compliance period has produced no results, the Trade Fair Management may arrange for the action necessary for compliance with its regulations to be taken at the cost and risk of the delinquent exhibitor.

15. Force majeure
Force majeure

Liability on the part of the Trade Fair Management in case of prevention of the trade fair due to force majeure is excluded, subject to Article 100, paragraph 1, of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO). Exhibitors are advised to review their business interruption or contingent business interruption insurance for coverage of these risks.

16. Final provisions
